Big 'Un Biography
Mark (aka Freaky Deaf Guy)
Games Played: Warhammer(For now). Armies: Ogre Kingdoms, Empire, Chaos & Vampire Counts. Figure Chosen: Vampire, It's the only thing i've been bothered to try. Honours: I wanna be an unlucky git. Welcome! The Bristol Big’Uns are a group of people who enjoy fantasy, science fiction and historical games. Whether these are in the style of tabletop war games, CCGs, CMGs, RPGs or board games doesn’t matter. If this sounds like a hobby you currently enjoy then why not come along or join our forum. The club is based at Iron Acton, between Bristol and Yate, in the recently refurbished Parish Hall and is held Sunday evenings from 6 pm until 10 pm. There are tables and chairs available plus 6’ x 4’ boards and terrain for Warhammer type games. There is a ‘tuck shop’ happily providing crisps, chocolate and fizzy drinks at a reasonable price. Use the contact tab above for more information on how to get to the club. The club has a web-based forum for discussion and for arranging games. Use the forum tab above to introduce yourself and say hello. (Note that the forum is actively policed to keep spam and non-club related chit chat to a minimum). Have a look at Bristol Big'Uns Club blog to see what we are doing currently. Some questions answered: Q: Is there an age limit? A: Persons under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. Q: This club sounds great, how much does it cost to join? A: There is no membership fee. The club runs a “play’n’pay” system whereby you only pay subs if you have a game. Q: Wow! How much are subs? A: Subs are £3.00 per night. Q: I’d like to play but don’t have any stuff. Does the club provide this? A: No. You must bring any models, cards, board games, books, dice etc that you need. The club provides tables, chairs, 6’ x 4’ boards and terrain for Warhammer type games plus a bunch of like-minded individuals. |
