Well the last week has flown by with exams and whatnot but ive managed to get most of the grey hunter pack done. The guys feature some basic conversions and early on i decided to split the space wolves accessory sprue equally amongst the models to give them all a 'wolfy' feel. The guys without legs are waiting for my mail order to come through so they can get some assault marine legs. I originally tried to convert some normal legs so the melta gunner was standing on a rock but my green stuff skills arent good enough! Ive decided to leave the weapons off so i can access the chest plate easier and the right shoulder pad should also be on its way from the mail order which got delayed. Not impressed. The bases were done using a method i purloined from the internet and came out rather spiffing i reckon. Its a really easy technique too so if anyone is interested then let me know and i'll link you to the guys article. Incidently on the base with the helmet on you can see the colour scheme for the armour of the army. Its shadow grey blended up to space wolf grey through about 5 stages and i reckon it looks pretty good. The razorback is an interesting one. When i ordered the razorback parts, instead of actually getting the razorback turret sprue i got sent a couple of predator turrets. Interesting i though so i knocked up a multi melta turret to see what it looked like and i think it looks good. Coupled with some accessories from the imperial guard accessory sprue and we have a groovy razorback which is similar to the older style with a proper turret and a guy sat in it blowing the crud out the enemy. You may notice that the razorback, and the marines weapons, have the barrells and exhausts drilled out. This is something new ive decided on and im glad i did because they look pretty good. I think thats about it for this week modelling wise. I should say that the army list has undergone a change already to include more grey hunters, now its 3 packs of 6 in razorbacks not 2. Also im toying with the idea of a blood claw bike pack instead of the rhino mounted blood claws, mostly because of the changes to the bike rules ive heard. However monday and GW's release of the pdf for the new rules should be interesting. Nice to see the staff are due to get a copy mid july last i heard. Go team. Anyway this week i hope to start on the power weapon weilding guy, mainly because i have to wait to get the shoulder pads and assault legs before i can start on the other guys. Until next week i leave you with these pictures of things as they stand.
