War On a Different Scale
- Or -
Die-Die Man-Thing
By Steve Evans.
It all started about a month or two ago when a mate of mine brought round a bag of gaming mags he was getting shot of. Amongst these were some Warmaster mags , now I used to really like Warmaster when it first came out and not one for missing the chance for a good read I decided to give them ago. I should of guest what would happen……..yep I was hooked, off I went to find my box of stuff. After a root around I had my rulebook and my Undead army I hadn't seen for about four years. Now all I needed to do was find some opponents.
The first thing I did was put a post up on the club forum and to my great surprise I got a number of reply's from club mates who were also closet Warmaster players. I managed to sort out a couple of games, which were real fun and reminded me just what a great game system Warmaster is. It was at this point I decided to collect a new army, the decision was made while I was playing one of these games, I got chatting to my opponent and he mentioned he had the Warmag with the trail Skaven list in it. I've always loved the rats in the Warhammer world and the thought of having them in Warmaster scale was just too much. So with a few successful bids on e-bay and a mail order to GW I had myself a 1,000pts starter army. Here's my list

I'm in the middle of a painting project at the moment so to start with I'm just going to bases the army up and undercoat it so I can get a few games in as soon as I can. I have painted up one stand though, as I wanted to see how they would paint up. The stand I chose is the Grey Seer command stand, which is actually a miniature version of the Warhammer special characters Thanqual and Bone Ripper. These are great models and I hope my paint job has done justice to this.

With my army based up and my list sorted all I need to do is find an opponent or should I say victim to play.
to be continued ...
