Yay im back after a long while! Ive been busy with work and going on holiday and painting so i cant really complain. Ive managed to finsih my first squad which is pleasing and im pretty happy with the way it turned out. The snow effect on the bases seems to be holding out so thats cool too. I got the idea for the power weapon effect from the net from Codex: Unforgiven if i remember correctly. There are some personal favourites such as the guy showing how to use true grit and the guy pointing to what he wants taken out.

I've played a couple of practice games to experiment with my list and had mixed success. I tried out a drop podding list against Steve's PINK marines and although i lost i was unlucky. Overall it was fun but not what i considered a good tournie list, it was too unreliable and there was the everpresent fear of drop podding into a mountain and losing a squad or similar. Also i had concerns over how the list would work if i wasnt able to deep strike for any reason. Overall i was gutted to lose to the Steve and his marines again, ive never beaten him when he uses marines!, but happy that drop podding wolves would be an awesome tactic in a friendly game. The next game i fiddled with my list slightly and put in a crusader for a laugh. The first game i played with this list was against Daves Tau. When he wheeled out about 1000 rail guns i knew i was in trouble. Predictably the land raider got popped but i still managed to achieve a total wipe out which was pleasing as a major concern of mine was that the list may not function with the loss of the crusader. The second game was against my house mates chaos marines, a lot closer this time and again the crusader got popped. Again i managed a win but it was hard work. Currently my list has a bike squad in led by a wolf priest on a bike and a wolf lord with more than a passing resemblance to Achilles from Troy. he is accompanied by a decked out grey hunter squad as his myrmidons and is in the process of being play tested. With the new rule book out soon i may tweak the list again but on paper it looks promising.

The whole squad 3 guys....i like 'em! Inside of Rhino
