A Bristol Big’un On Tour

I had been invited to enter the Cheltenham Warchiefs first ever tournament,The Warpath.
It was to be a Warhammer Fantasy Battle event using 1,500pt forces,with there being 3 games over the day.Games were to be pitched battles using vp’s as of page 198 of the rule book with the player with the most after the 3 games winning.There were no pts for sportsmanship,painting or army comp.I had decided
to take my Chaos Dwarves, see below for army list.

1 CD level 2 Sorcerer with Black Gem of Gnar.
1 CD level 2 Sorcerer with Chalice of Darkness.

Verses JP’s Dark Elves

1 level 2 Sorceress with dispel scroll and seal of Groud.
15 Corsairs with Sea Dragon Cloaks,light armour,extra weapon,full command,War Banner.

Key Moments.
Rear charge by 3 Dark Riders causing a failed panic test by a unit of CD
warriors, who were then ran down. The Cold One Knights bouncing off the
Black Orc’s and failing their break test in the last turn of the game. A draw.

Verses Richard’s Bretonnian’s.
A slight twist to this game, we had to swap armies so I ended up using the Bretonnians against my own Chaos Dwarves.

Key Moments.
The directed hit by the Earth Shaker on the Questing Knights which only killed 1 knight.
The combined charge of the Pegasus Knights (front) and one of the Knights of the Realm unit which contended the Paladin (flank) on the Blunderbuss unit which contended the CD general and a sorcerer. The CD’s lost heavily, broke
and were run down. This was a deverstating blow to the CD’s and left a unit of CD warriors and the unit of Black Orc’s
open to multiple charges in the final turn. Both units were destroyed. A win.

Verses John's Goblins

1 level 2 Goblin Shaman with 2 dispel scrolls.
24 Night Goblins with shield, spear, 3 fanatic’s, full command.

11 Goblin Wolf Boyz with wolf, light armour, shield, spear, full command.

1 Squig Herd with 7 Squig’s , 14 Night Goblin prodders.

Chaos Dwarves:

Key Moments.
The Giant jumping up and down on the unit of Blunderbuss and wiping them out. The Goblin Shaman ‘ead butting one
of the Sorcerers to death. Then the Wolf Boyz with the general in bouncing off the Black Orc’s, breaking and being ran down,
this put the Black Orc’s within charge range of the Squig Herd which included the army standard on the last turn of the game.
The charge went in, the Black Orc’s won but the Goblins pass their break test on a 4.A draw.

Final Result:
1 win and 2 draw’s. I’m happy with that.
Final finishing place 13th out of 18 players.
